GENESYS offters three main types of Household samples. 

The standard GENESYS RDD methodology produces a strict single stage, epsem sample of residential telephone numbers. In other words, a GENESYS RDD sample ensures an equal and known probability of selection for every residential telephone number in the sample frame.

The database structure and the sampling methodology obviate the need to utilize a two stage or double sampling process to ensure representative telephone samples. Thus, GENESYS RDD samples will deliver the full statistical value of each interview, without the reduction in precision associated with other methodologies.  For more information on our RDD Samples, click here.

In addition to our full range of random digit dialing sampling products, GENESYS Sampling Systems also provides researchers with access to all listed telephone households in the U.S. Listed household samples provide the ability to improve both sample efficiency and incidence rates when the research challenge faced calls for it. With targeted demographics available to the household level, GENESYS can provide sample households with the specific characteristics your research project demands. Geographic selections are available down to the ZIP+4 or census block level and include tightly defined areas such as a radius around a point (address), retail trading areas, and other non-standard geographic areas that can be easily targeted. Selection criteria include numerous demographic variables, including income, age and gender of adults and children, race, ethnic surnames, home ownership, etc. For more information on our Listed Household Samples, click here.

For many studies, the screening required to reach a sufficient number of households with specific characteristics often involves costs that are beyond the client's means, or are simply not justified by the study's objectives. There are, of course, listed household sampling options available for targeting households with family members meeting specific age/gender, race, education or household income criteria. In addition to these, there are list options that can be used for targeting households with specific product ownership / usage, purchase behavior, interests, hobbies, and other household characteristics.
